TreeHaus Balance is money you pay in advance to spend with TreeHaus Kombucha in Malaysia, through this app, on products and delivery fees. It is not cash, it earns no interest, and you cannot spend it at any other business. We do not pay it out in cash: it leaves your balance only when you spend it here or when we send it to your bank account under clause 6.
TreeHaus Balance is limited purpose electronic money under the Financial Services (Limited Purpose Electronic Money) (Exemption) Order 2024 (P.U.(A) 463/2024). It is not e-money issued by an issuer approved by Bank Negara Malaysia, and the rules for those issuers do not apply to it.
Credit we give you for free, such as a top-up bonus or a reward, is kept apart from the money you paid. It expires 30 days after we give it, is spent before your paid balance, and cannot be sent to a bank account.
Your TreeHaus Balance does not expire. If that ever changes, we will tell you at least 30 days before, as clause 10 says.
You can ask us at any time to send your paid balance to a bank account in your name at a licensed bank in Malaysia. We will complete the transfer within 14 working days of checking your request, and we do not charge a fee. Before we send it, we may ask you to show that the bank account is in your name.
If an order you paid for with TreeHaus Balance is cancelled or refunded, the money goes back into your TreeHaus Balance.
TreeHaus Balance belongs to you. It cannot be sold or given to another person. Keep your sign-in safe, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
